Find Your Transformation Through Dance
When I teach dance, I'm not just teaching steps. I'm inviting you into an experience of embodied movement, creative exploration and personal empowerment.
My Approach
My approach draws on thousands of hours of study with Zoe Jakes and certification in both the DanceCraft and Salimpour methodologies. This means you'll receive systematic, technically sound instruction rooted in respected lineages.
But technique is only part of the story. Through 15 years of somatic work, yoga and movement therapies at Esalen, I understand that dance is an internal experience as much as an external one. The movements we practice are more than just physical skills. They are pathways to greater body awareness, confidence and self-expression.

My Teaching Style
I'm quite technical—I love breaking down complex movements, drilling fundamentals and building precision. But I balance this with creativity and play in a fun atmosphere and supportive community! Dance can be sacred, silly, sensual, weird and wonderful!
I foster an inclusive, supportive environment where all bodies, all backgrounds and all experience levels are genuinely welcome. Whether you're seeking exercise, confidence, creative expression or new performance skills, you belong here.
An Embodied Approach
To dance in an embodied way means to be fully present in your body, aware of subtle sensations and movements, and connected to your internal experience rather than just performing external shapes.
This approach helps you:
- ✦ Develop genuine confidence that comes from within
- ✦ Build strength and mobility through mindful movement practices
- ✦ Discover your unique movement style and creative voice
- ✦ Connect more deeply with your body and yourself
- ✦ Experience the joy and power of expressive dance

Is This Right for You?
My classes welcome a beautifully diverse community:
Complete Beginners
No dance experience? No problem. Many students start with zero background and discover a lifelong love of movement. You'll build confidence, strength and skills in a supportive environment where questions are always welcome.
Dancers & Performers Expanding Their Skills
Already trained in aerial arts, pole dance, burlesque or other performance forms? I'll give you some powerful new tools to add to your repertoire. Isolation techniques, undulation skills and rhythmic training enhance virtually any movement practice.
Anyone Seeking Body Connection & Confidence
If you're looking for exercise that's also empowering, creative and fun—or you want to explore sensuality, build confidence and get more in touch with your body—my classes create space for all of that.
Performers Preparing for the Stage
Experienced dancers preparing for performances will find technical rigor, performance coaching and troupe opportunities to develop stage presence and artistry.
All Ages, All Bodies, All Experience Levels
I mean it when I say everyone is welcome. Dance is for every body.
